AMRT (Additional Minerals Reporting Template)

The Additional Minerals Reporting Template (AMRT), formerly known as the Pilot Reporting Template (PRT), is a free, standardized reporting template developed by the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) for collecting due diligence information on minerals not covered by the CMRT (3TG) or EMRT (cobalt, copper, graphite, lithium, mica, nickel). The AMRT allows input for up to ten user-specified minerals. AMRT version 1.31 was released on April 17, 2026; the next version is anticipated in Fall 2026.

Companies with critical minerals in their supply chains beyond 3TG and EMRT scope use the AMRT for voluntary or customer-driven due diligence. Unlike the CMRT and EMRT, the AMRT does not include a Smelter Look-up tab because the mineral scope is user-defined. The AMRT is not aligned with IPC-1755 — unlike the CMRT and EMRT. Companies should use the AMRT alongside, not instead of, the CMRT and EMRT where applicable.

An EV battery manufacturer tracks lithium and cobalt via EMRT and uses the AMRT to collect data on manganese and graphite from a specific emerging market supplier where the EMRT does not yet capture all relevant processor data.
