PCTP (Pentachlorothiophenol)

PCTP (CAS 133-49-3) is a rubber vulcanization accelerator. All manufacturing/processing banned above 1% by weight since March 8, 2021. No phase-in periods or time-limited exclusions.

The simplest PBT restriction: near-total ban with 1% threshold. Verify rubber vulcanization accelerators are PCTP-free. Supplier declarations and testing against 1% threshold are primary compliance tools.

A rubber manufacturer receives supplier confirmation that its accelerator package contains no PCTP. The declaration is retained as compliance documentation.
